  • How should I prepare for my appointment?
Your RMT will arrive at your front door with all the supplies to perform your massage. Supplies include massage table, sheets, lotions and sanitization wipes. Please ensure there is enough space for the massage table and the therapist to move around the table comfortably (10x15). Please ensure you have 2-3 pillows for your comfort.
  • Does massage hurt?
Your massage doesn’t have to hurt to be effective. If you experience any pain or discomfort during our session, please let me know. I prioritize your comfort and happy to modify the technique or pressure that suits your needs. We will work together within your pain tolerance to ensure that your massage is comfortable.
  • What do I need to be prepared for the treatment?
All you need is an open space for the massage table and the therapist to walk around comfortably and 2–3 twin sized pillows. The table size is 72 inches by 30 inches with a max capacity of 1500lbs. I will provide the linens and lotions. You are more than welcome to use your own lotions and sheets if you prefer. Light your favourite candle or place your favourite essential oil in a diffuser. Your environment is part of the experience, create your own tranquil space to help clean your mind. I recommend you have a warm bath or shower prior to the treatment. This will allow your muscles to warm up to maximize the effect of your massage.
  • What kind of massage oil do you use?
I use gel or lotion on your body.
  • Do you work with MVA or WSIB patients?
We are unable to accommodate patients with MVA or WSIB specific insurance.
  • Why Mobile massage?
With busy lives and schedules, it can be difficult to travel to an appointment or find the time. Mobile massage offers way that can still reap the benefits of massage but without having to drive to a clinic or spa.
  • Are you pet friendly?
Your pets are welcome to join us during the massage session.
  • What is The Travelling RMT’s cancellation policy?
When you book an appointment, please be considerate and note that a set amount of time has been allocated for you – not just the treatment time but the travel time. Missed appointments prevent from accommodating other clients. Please understand that therapists only get paid when they deliver a service. Please note that we have a 24 hour cancellation policy in place. If you cancel or reschedule your appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice, you will be charged 50% of your treatment fee. Payment will be required for late cancellation or “no shows,” some exceptions may apply. Missed appointment fees must be paid before booking future appointments.
  • What should I wear?
You want to be comfortable during your treatment. Loose fitting clothes shorts and a t-shirt, or a bath robe. The body part being treated will be the only body part exposed.
  • Are you covered by insurance?
Yes, as a Registered Massage Therapist, my treatments are covered by most extended healthcare insurance packages. I don’t offer direct billing. You pay me directly after each massage and I provide an electronic receipt that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
  • What length of treatment should I book?
It is recommended 90 minutes in order to address your concerns and achieve the results you want. Unlike, clinics or spas, your time doesn’t begin until your massage does! I believe you should receive the length of treatment you paid for.
